Kuih Cara Manis is cake originally from Malaysia. This is favorite dessert for Malaysian. This cake is made from flours, eggs, and coconut milk. It is added with pandan leaves to create aromatic flavor. The pandan leaves also what make the cake colored in green. It is then baked in special pans. The batter is pretty simple but the taste is amazing. They are formed into bite size. Some of the locals often filled them with pal sugar, coconut jam, or shredded coconut.

Banh Da Lon is cake originated from Vietnam. This is actually their traditional dessert. This cake is made from pureed mung beans, rice flour, tapioca starch, and water or coconut milk. This is layered cake. Usually it consists of two layers in different colors; pale yellow and green. The yellow pale layer has mung bean flavor while the green one has pandan flavor. The color green itself is resulted from pandan leaves. The mixture of ingredients are steamed and chilled. The cake is then cut into diamond shape highlighting the layers.
